Sekakomo Releases First Full Album
On April 7, 2025, Korean underground idol Sekakomo released his first full-length album . Since debuting at the "Prism Hall" in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, on Feb. 24, 2024, Sekakomo has built up his solid skills through more than 150 performances a year. Under the name of 'Sekai no kodomo' (Sekakomo), they have walked their own path, building a unique world view of 'beautiful girls who met in a world where time has stopped'.

Underground idols are a unique performance culture that originated in Japan and are actively performing in Mapo-gu, including Hongdae and Hapjeong. It was introduced for the first time in Korea after the performance of 'Urumerumo', which included 'Ano', who emerged as a national singer in Japan, and is now so popular that the concert hall in Mapo-gu is filled with underground idol performances. Unlike K-pop idols, underground idols value direct communication with fans in small concert halls rather than large media. Furthermore, Sekakomo is promoting underground idol culture to the public through live performances at various venues such as Dongdaemun Hyundai Outlet, Yongsan I'Park Mall, and Busan Lotte Department Store, as well as small performances in Mapo-gu.

The process of preparing Sekakomo's first full-length album was never smooth. In a situation where capital was insufficient compared to popular idols, album production was difficult in many ways. In the face of a lack of investment and support, Sekakomo prepared the album by running on his own feet even by members and executives of his agency. Although she suffered from hardships in life, Sekakomo constantly tried with the belief and dream that many people would love her music and stage. As a result, they released 20 songs containing their own worldview through live, practice, and album preparation every day for more than a year.




Shin Hyun-joon, CEO of Artifact Entertainment, Sekacomo's agency, said, `Friends who dream of becoming idols and performing on the stage are frustrated because they run into reality at such a young age. Sekacomo's first full-length album tells the story of finding a way to turn back time with the main character (Tae-yeop) wandering in time that has stopped. The album illustrates their musical growth and depth, and is the result of communication based on their bond with fans.
