Yoo Hee-yeol Returns as Special DJ After Plagiarism Controversy

Singer and composer Yoo Hee-yeol will appear on the show for the first time since the plagiarism controversy as a special DJ for Bae Chul-soo's music camp.

Recently, MBC FM4U 'Bae Chul-soo's Music Camp' announced on its official SNS that Yoo Hee-yeol will be the special DJ from the 18th to the 21st due to DJ Bae Chul-soo's vacation.

Following Yoo Hee-yeol, Yoon Do-hyun and Rooftop Moonlight are scheduled to meet with listeners as special DJs in turn.

The news was also announced at the 35th anniversary press conference of Bae Chul-soo's Music Camp held in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 25th of last month.

Producer Nam Tae-jung said, `Bae Chul-soo DJ is going on vacation to celebrate his 35th anniversary. With the feeling of Bae Chul-soo and children, musicians from all the DJs of cultural broadcasting radio have been gathered. The four of you are helping, and the rooftop Dalbit, Yoon Do-hyun, Yiruma, and Yoo Hee-yeol are helping."

Yoo Hee-yeol's return to broadcasting is the first time in more than three years since the plagiarism controversy erupted in 2022, drawing keen attention from many people.

Meanwhile, Yoo Hee-yeol was previously suspected of plagiarizing a song by Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto in June 2022. At that time, Ryuichi Sakamoto came forward and stated that Yoo Hee-yeol's songs were similar, not plagiarism, and cleared the suspicion of plagiarism.

However, controversy continued as a series of suspicions were raised about Yoo Hee-yeol's other songs.
