tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' (directed by Kim Yong-wan, scriptwriter Yang Ji-hoon, planned CJ ENM, production studio Dragon, Dexter Pictures, and E-Content Group), which will premiere on the 23rd (Mon), unveiled a still from Chloride (played by Chu Ja-hyun), whose non-native aura causes goosebumps.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, "Gyeonwoo and the Fairy" is an outspoken first love redemption romance between a boy destined to die and an MZ shaman girl who tries to prevent it. The story of Park Sung-ah (Choi-hyun), a high school student shaman who confronts fate for her first love, and Bae Gyeon-woo (Choo Young-woo), who will reverse fate through the ordinary happiness he opened, is expected to give fresh excitement. In addition, episodes of K-ghosts, whose stories are as diverse as their personalities, add a different kind of fun. Above all, director Kim Yong-wan, who showed outstanding directing skills through various genres such as 'Dolpung'Method'If You Say Your Wish', and writer Yang Ji-hoon, who has delicate writing skills, join forces to make drama fans even more excited.
Chlorine's anti-war atmosphere revealed on the day makes us wonder about his performance, which will be a variable for both Park Sung-ah and Bae Gyeon-woo's redemption romance. Chlorine, a famous 'party celebrity', is a person who hides the nature of attracting people's hearts behind his elegant and good-looking face. Chloride's smile, which doesn't feel any emotion, causes goosebumps.
Chlorine's sharp eyes on Park Sung-ah give a foreboding of an unusual relationship. Park Sung-ah, who has the same mother as Chloride. However, I wonder how the two people who choose a very different fate will be intertwined and what kind of story will be hidden from Chlorine, who became a ghost to survive.
Chu Ja-hyun, who said that a character named 'Chloride' that was not in the original work came to be attractive, was looking forward to how he could unravel the role of "Mudang". "I was also greedy to be able to play my own shaman as an actor," he said, explaining the reason for his choice. "I felt a responsibility to become a memorable character for the viewers." Regarding the character 'Chu Ja-hyun "Chu Ja-hyun is a person who throws himself into hell and destroys himself. It felt more three-dimensional and sad that he was a person with deep wounds inside." In addition, "As we watch Chlorine's life, which has no choice but to accept its tragic fate, viewers will be able to feel sadness and tension together."
Meanwhile, tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on the 23rd (Monday).
