Judge Park Jong-woong of the Incheon District Court's Criminal Chamber 16 announced on the 3rd that he sentenced Lee, who was accused of fraud, to a fine of 10 million won.
In November 2020, Mr. Lee told his acquaintance A at a pension in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon "COVID-19 makes it difficult for his wife and father to run a clothing store."I borrowed money by deceiving him, "I urgently need 20 million won."
However, it was found that Lee intended to use the operation of the clothing store for personal purposes even if he borrowed money, and did not have the intention or ability to pay back the money.
In particular, he is known to have committed the crime during a period of repeated convictions for past crimes.
The court took into account the fact that the nature of the crime was not good and that the accused was not self-reflected during the period of repeated crimes""However, he acknowledged his crime and agreed with the victim, and took into account the fact that he had no criminal history of the same kind.", he explained the reason for the sentencing.
Lee, a former MBC comedian contestant in 1983, later acted and appeared in various dramas such as 'The Fourth Republic' and 'The Age of the Wild' to make his face known to the public.
