Lee Kyung-kyu drove another vehicle of the same type as his foreign car to the company from a building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 8th, and reported it to the police because the owner of the actual vehicle suspected it was a theft. According to the investigation, a parking management agent who mistook the car delivered the same type of car to Lee Kyung-kyu incorrectly. In the process, Lee Kyung-gyu took a breathalyzer test and a simple reagent test, and the reagent test came out positive. The National Forensic Service also released a positive result, so Lee Kyung-kyu was converted into a suspect.
In a police investigation, Lee Kyung-kyu reportedly presented the police with both a vehicle black box and a medicine envelope that could determine the location of the car.
After completing the investigation, lawyer Lee Kyung-kyu said, `Lee Kyung-kyu has been suffering from panic disorder for more than 10 years and took prescription drugs the day before the incident, but he drove himself to the hospital because he was not in good condition. It is inexcusable carelessness to be behind the wheel when the body is not intact. "I will take more care of my body and mind in the future and be careful about what I say and do."
However, it remains doubtful that he drove someone else's vehicle, not his own. In response to this, Lee Kyung-kyu said, `I didn't open the car door with my car key. The door was open. There was a car key in it, so it started. So I thought it was my car and went out. How can you confuse the car, but it's actually the same. It's similar inside." "And I don't drive very well." He explained, "I didn't feel any difference in details such as seat position."
According to Article 45 of the Road Traffic Act, driving is prohibited when there is a risk of not driving normally due to the influence of drugs. It is difficult to drive normally due to poor concentration and cognitive ability even if it is a prescription drug, but if you drive, you will be charged with drug driving. The police will decide on Lee's disposition based on the results of the investigation.
Meanwhile, Lee Kyung-kyu is starring in TV CHOSUN 'MODUN's character history Mr.Lee' and Channel A'Boss Attack' were canceled. The broadcaster said the decision to cancel the show was not related to Lee Kyung-kyu.
