Jang Won-young's Bullying Taldeok Detention Center Decided to suspend the execution of KRW 50 million...Do you play a trick to reduce the amount

Is there no self-reflection in the Taldeok concentration camp.

The court recently accepted a request for a suspension of execution filed by Cyberrekar Taldeok Detention Center in a ruling to compensate Jang Won-young's agency Starship Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Starship) 50 million won.

Jeong Kyeong-seok, a lawyer at the law firm Rio, a legal representative for Starship, said "As of the 23rd, the application for suspension of compulsory execution filed by the Taldeok concentration camp has been decided."

Lawyer Chung said that the suspension of execution does not mean much. "Since we have appealed, it is only asking for the suspension of compulsory execution until the appeal trial, but it has no significant meaning in the procedure."

The Taldeok concentration camp distributed malicious fake news about K-pop stars such as Ive, BTS, Kang Daniel, and EXO-Spa, even earning about 210 million won in criminal profits. In particular, Jang Won-young created a lot of malicious rumors and caused persistent harassment. In response, Starship secured meaningful information from Google headquarters in the U.S. to identify the identity of the Taldeok concentration camp through a request for information disclosure in 2023 and filed a 100 million won damages lawsuit. Jang Won-young also filed a lawsuit for damages worth 100 million won against the Taldeok concentration camp.

The Taldeok concentration camp appealed for leniency, saying that there was no recognition of falsehood and that it was for the purpose of the public interest. However, in both cases, the court ruled in favor of the plaintiff. The Taldeok concentration camp appealed for 100 million won in damages, and the amount of compensation was reduced to 50 million won at the appeal trial. Nevertheless, the Taldeok concentration camp has repeatedly appealed and is attempting to reduce the amount.

Separately, the Taldeok concentration camp is on trial for posting YouTube videos that slander Jang Won-young and seven other celebrities. In the first trial of the criminal suit, he was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of probation, and the second trial is currently underway.
