The second hearing of the 41st division of the Seoul Central District Court will be held on the 5th to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract filed by Ador against five NewJeans members.
At the first hearing, Adore said he was willing to agree, but NewJeans said he had no intention of returning to Adore. In response, the court said it would consider how to view the specificity of the Trust Relationship Breakdown' claimed by NewJeans.
In November last year, NewJeans announced that the exclusive contract was terminated due to Ador's breach of contract, and then changed the team name to 'NJZ' and conducted independent activities. In response, Adore filed an application for provisional injunction, such as preserving the status of an agency and prohibiting the conclusion of an advertising contract, along with a lawsuit to confirm the validity of an exclusive contract.
The court cited all of Odor's applications for provisional injunction. NewJeans immediately filed an objection, but for now, independent activities without prior approval or consent from Adore are not possible. In response, NewJeans declared the suspension of his activities.
The court later cited an indirect compulsory application filed by Adore against NewJeans on May 30. The court said that "NewJeans shall not engage in entertainment activities independently or through a third party without prior approval or consent from Adore until the judgment of the first trial of the lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract is made" he ruled.
In addition, if NewJeans violates this, it will have to pay 1 billion won in compensation to Adore per violation.
Meanwhile, a day before the trial, NewJeans said in an independently run account that "I read your letter yesterday and it made me feel so good. I missed you. So I just came here."
