On the 2nd 'New Spirit' reported that Seo Hyun-jin applied for an auction directly in April because he could not get back the deposit of the house he rented.
According to the Supreme Court's court auction information, Seo Hyun-jin signed a contract with 2.5 billion won for a high-end villa in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in April 2020 and completed the registration of leasehold rights. Two years later, in 2022, he renewed his contract at 2.65 billion won, an increase of 125 million won.
However, when the landlord did not return the deposit even though the contract expired in April 2024, Seo Hyun-jin left his house on September 12 of the same year after registering his lease and began the auction process this year.
The problem is that the situation worsened as the property was classified as a so-called 'can housing'. The appraised price was about 2.873 billion won, but the current lowest bid price has fallen to about 2.298.9 billion won as it has already been auctioned once.
Seo Hyun-jin said that the successful bidder has to spend more than 2.6 billion won in down payment to get the full amount back, but given the current real estate market situation, the possibility is low. As a result, Seo Hyun-jin is expected to suffer significant financial losses.
Meanwhile, Seo Hyun-jin chose a new drama Love Me as his next movie. Love Me is based on the original Swedish series of the same name created by Josephine Bornbusch. It tells the story of a family who is a little selfish, who only loved my life, and maybe more ordinary, growing up by starting their own love.
