On the 29th, American gossip columnist Robert James Shooter wrote in his Substack blog that `Coldplay faced legal threats over the 'Kisscam' incident.'
Earlier, at a Coldplay concert in Boston, Massachusetts on the 16th, Andy Byron, CEO of IT company 'Astronomer', and Christine Cabot, CEO of CPO, hugged each other live on the electronic display.
At the time, both were married, and Cabot covered his face and sat down when caught on screen, sparking suspicions of an affair.
The scene quickly spread on social media and caused a strong controversy. Byron resigned as CEO after two days, and Cabot was placed on leave.
In addition, Byron's wife deleted her husband's last name from SNS and deactivated her account, putting more weight on the affair situation.
Byron and Cabot were greatly disgraced by the proliferation of the parody 'meme' of the two around the world.
In response, Byron's confidants "didn't agree to be publicly insulted"We are considering legal action against Coldplay and event organizers" Byron claims he fell victim to internet memes.
Legal experts, however, believe a lawsuit based on 'privacy infringement' is unlikely to succeed at a time when public concert halls, tens of thousands of spectators, and multiple camera shots have taken place.
Meanwhile, the video became a big topic in Korea, and Chuncheon City parodied it as an official promotional video.
