Jay Withdrawal From DAY6 Exposes Discrimination Against Unpopular Members It was me in Korea

Jay, who left the band DAY6, mentioned his situation during his career.

Jay made headlines recently by leaving a comment directly on the popular 'Unpopular Members within the K-pop group' on TikTok.

In the video, he said, `Think about how you feel prejudiced, which is the least popular in the K-pop group, has few Instagram followers, is cheap, and doesn't support you when performing.'

In response, Jay said, "It was me in Korea," he said, directly posting a comment that sympathizes with the video.

Jay said "It was (heartbreaking) to go to a fan-related event. On the group's second comeback, they were also told by producers to 'don't give a comment'. At every fan event, I had to keep feeling 'I don't belong here'" he said.

Then "It took me a while to get used to the situation, but I eventually adjusted. I was loved by international fans and a small number of Korean fans, and I was so grateful. To this day, I still remember those people, and the short but warm conversations." We all remember and cherish those moments", he confessed.

Jay, who made his face known by appearing on SBS 'K-Pop Star Season 1' in 2011, made his debut as a band DAY6 in September 2015 after signing an exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment and being a trainee.

However, on December 31, 2021, JYP Entertainment announced on its official Day6 Twitter that Jay had left the team due to personal reasons and terminated his exclusive contract.

The agency had long in-depth talks with Jay himself and, after careful discussion, decided to conclude the exclusive contract in respect of the artist's opinion"Although Jay's relationship with us has ended, we will always support Jay's future move to start anew."

Jay also announced the termination of the contract with JYP Entertainment through his Twitter account on the same day, saying, `After discussing with the company, I am sorry that I have to take a rest.'
