MBC's new liberal arts program 'Architecture-Space Traveler' (directed by So Hyung-joon Cho, Sung Seung-min/writer Nam Soo-hee/hereinafter 'Architecture for a Reason') will be regularized thanks to favorable reviews on the four-part pilot broadcast, and will premiere at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22. Architecture for a Reason is a new concept architectural talk show that tells stories that cross various fields such as history, culture, economy, art, and science through architecture. It is expected that 'Architectural Travel' will provide viewers with different fun and useful knowledge in search of the reason for architecture.
Jeon Hyun-moo, Hong Jin-kyung, Park Sun-young, and star architect Yoo Hyun-jun were united as MCs to lead the 'Architecture with a Reason.' It was revealed directly how much they were into architecture and how their views on architecture changed after the pilot broadcast.
First of all, architect Yoo Hyun-joon commented on his feelings about the regular program, saying, "It is the first program with "architecture" in the title." I really like the title 'Building for a Reason' because it means 'why the space was created, and architecture is a projection of various ideas'. Recently, many people seem to be more interested in architecture as a way to express themselves, posting 'what space I spend my time in' on social media. The regular programming is thanks to the viewers. I'm glad that there's an architectural program that you can enjoy with a smile."
Jeon Hyun-moo said "After the pilot broadcast, the view of the buildings has changed very much. The biggest change in daily life is when you look around you 'Why was that building made?' I got to look at it carefully while floating a question mark. The more architecture knows, the more fun it is. I think it's a program with popular elements and competitiveness that people will like. I'm proud to be the MC of this program."
Hong Jin-kyung "I was so interested in architecture that it was so much fun to get to know architects and buildings. While conducting this program, I came to know anew that there are such great buildings in Korea, close to me, and on the road where I passed meaninglessly. For me, it is a program that studies architecture and even progresses. I want to be happy and do this for a long time" expressed affection.
Park Sun-young said "Architecture for a reason" seems to have been liked by viewers because they can deliver it vividly in the main room with a sense of realism even if I don't go to the building and hot space myself. It is also a great advantage of our program to be able to learn more about behind-the-scenes and events related to buildings that have not been heard in the regular curriculum. I'm also very happy to go to the regular programming with that driving force."
In particular, Jeon Hyun-moo and Hong Jin-kyung also expressed their desire for architectural and architectural travel. Jeon Hyun-moo said, `If I have a lot of money and I can build a building, I want to make a building that will be a landmark. Isn't a space with a special meaning better than being an ordinary building among countless buildings. Since I was an announcer, if I build a building to train announcers or broadcasters, wouldn't it be possible to make it a unique microphone-shaped form (laughs)?", he/she expressed his/her imagination.
Hong Jin-kyung appeared as a 'true' architecture maniac. Hong Jin-kyung said, "I went to the house of a world-renowned Finnish architect, Alba Alto, while traveling to Northern Europe before the regular programming, and it was impressive. In fact, we are planning an architectural trip to Le Corbusier called the Father of Modern Architecture next year. Le Corbusier was born in Switzerland, with works in France and India. So looking around them is really one of the bucket lists of my lifetime. Maybe we can go first from 'Architecture for a Reason'?" he revealed his wind and rejoiced.
Back to regular programming, the new concept architectural talk show MBC "The Reasoned Architecture-Space Traveler" will premiere at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22.
Meanwhile, Jeon Hyun-moo drew attention by talking about the 60 billion property theory on MBN 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2', which aired in January.
At the time, Lee Jang-woo said "Because Hyun-moo has 60 billion won," and Kwak Tube also "Squid Game" about Jeon Hyun-moo's fortune.
