The late Kim Min-ki died on the 21st of last year at the age of 73 while battling cancer. According to the performing arts world at the time, the deceased eventually died the day before his death as his chronic stomach cancer worsened.
Many juniors who have been with the deceased for a long time visited the mortuary or paid tribute through social media after running 'hakjeon' for more than 30 years and working hard to cultivate junior artists. There was also a wave of remembrance from all walks of life, including politics, culture, and art.
At that time, Kim Sung-min, the nephew of the deceased and the team leader of 'hakjeon', disclosed his will. Team leader Kim Sung-min said "He left suddenly, but he thanked his close friends such as his family for three to four months." "It's right to end the school now." I said, 'I've done as much as I could.'"
After making his debut with the song 『Morning Isolation』 in 1970, the deceased left a number of songs including 『Evergreen』 and 『Factory Light』. In particular, 'morning dew' was called a democratic protest song in the 1987s and was loved as a representative folk song.

In addition, the deceased worked hard to cultivate junior artists, and actors Hwang Jung-min, Seol Kyung-gu, Kim Yun-seok, Kim Hee-won, Cho Seung-woo, Jang Hyun-sung, Kim Kwang-seok, Park Semester, and Yoon Do-hyun went through school.
However, the school closed in March last year due to Kim Min-ki's illness and financial problems, but in July last year, the Korean Culture and Arts Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Arts Commission) newly opened the small theater 'Hakjeon' as 'Arco Dream Field Theater'.
Meanwhile, Hakjeon, a theater company, started a 'Memorial Project' a year after CEO Kim Min-ki's death.
On the 8th, the school exhibition said, "In commemoration of the first anniversary of CEO Kim Min-ki on the 21st, we will produce and sell a retroactive LP of the deceased's first album, 『Kim Min-ki" which was released in 1971" The retroactive LP is the first result of the maintenance of the deceased, who hoped that his work would remain an honest record"
In addition, within this year, the school plans to establish the 『Hakjeon Kim Min-ki Foundation" to faithfully protect the deceased. "We will convey his spirit and cultural heritage to future generations through the work of recording and preserving the deceased's works," the school said. "We do not hold a memorial event for the first anniversary according to the deceased's will."
