SLL Invites Canadian EXNW2025 Production Company Only...Global Connector Award.

EXNW is an exchange event between Asian-Canadian content creators hosted by Canadian non-profit organization RESO (Racial Equity Screen Office), where multi-racial Canadian creators and Asian content leaders gather to share insights on partnership establishment and joint planning and development. SLL is the only Korean production company invited to EXNW 2025.
Park Joon-seo, head of SLL's production division, participated as a speaker for two consecutive years following 2024, emphasizing the competitiveness of Korean and Asian content targeting the global market. During the session "Creative Currents: Changes in the Global Ecosystem from an Asian Perspective" held on July 19, Park discussed new content format trends, including global creator collaboration methods, streaming platform-based business models, and shortforms.
Sophia Yan, a U.S. and Asian entertainment law expert, a partner lawyer at Phelps & Phillips LLP, and Justin Deemen, a managing partner at Goldfinch International, participated on the panel together, and Sarah Kim Haasz, founder of Philango Productions, who organized the Gangnam Project, served as the modulator.
Park Joon-seo received the 2025 EXNW Global Connector Award (2025 EXNW Global Connector Award) for his pioneering leadership in the field of global storytelling and his contribution to building partnerships between Asia and Canada. In particular, it was highly appreciated for promoting strategic collaboration with major regional platform partners and creators and expanding opportunities for co-production and cultural exchange through the Canada-Asia Co-Production Accelerator' co-hosted with RESO.
Global production company TCC CEO and actor Sean Richards participated in the program as a program consultant, and he also participated as a modulator at the official EXNW 2025 showcase. Sean Richards is a partner who has been collaborating with Park for a long time in the content field, and he congratulated her on her award at the award ceremony and delivered a comment. He will also appear in the spy thriller series 'Butterfly', which will be released in 240 countries around the world on Amazon Prime Video on August 13. The work, starring Daniel Dae-Kim, Park Hae-soo, and Kim Tae-hee, is based on the graphic novel of the same name.

Meanwhile, participants in the Canadian Writers Program, which SLL and RESO have held since March, also participated in the Meet the Pitch Executives set up during EXNW 2025 to showcase IPs that have been planned and developed so far. Representatives from production companies in Asia-Pacific participated in the pitch session to meet creators and discuss content production and business opportunities.
