Actor Cha In-pyo won the Hwang Soon-won Literary Award.

The Hwang Soon-won Memorial Society announced on the 4th that it has selected novelist Joo Su-ja for the 14th Hwang Soon-won Literary Prize, poet Kim Gu-seul for the Poet Prize, and actor and novelist Cha In-pyo for the Shinjin Prize.

Cha In-pyo, who won the Shinjin Prize for "Hunting the Mermaid", said, "The news of winning the Shinjin Prize feels like a quiet permission for me to continue writing novels in the future. I will write more modestly and deeply thinking about what really good novels are and what novels leave a impression on people in the future."

In response, Shin Ae-ra also sincerely congratulated her husband Cha In-pyo on winning the award. On the 4th, Shin Ae-ra said, "I wore a bag every day to write, and at 5 p.m., I came in hungry, and I got an award full of this person."I received the New Actor Award just before 30, but I didn't expect to receive the New Artist Award just before 60. I guess I shouldn't give up on dreams. We don't know when it will happen ♡," he said.

Meanwhile, Cha In-pyo made his debut as a novelist in 2009 with a novel 'Goodbye Hill' based on the story of Japanese Military Sexual Slavery's grandmother. Since then, he has published novels such as 'Today's Forecast' and 'If We Look at the Same Star someday'

In particular, the first feature 'Goodbye Hill', which was republished as 'If We Look at the Same Star someday', was selected as a must-have book at Oxford University in the UK last year and became a hot topic.
