According to a Yonhap News report on the 16th, deuce member Lee Hyun-do is preparing for his fourth regular deuce album by restoring the voice of Kim Sung-jae, who passed away 30 years ago, to AI.
Lee Hyun-do said, `We are planning to release our fourth deuce album as early as the end of this year, starting with a new song at the end of this year.' `We plan to extract and learn Kim Sung-jae's voice from the existing sound source, create a new vocal, and complete it by adding my own rap.'
Deuce became a legend of Korean hip-hop in 1993, leaving behind a number of hit songs such as 'Look back at me' and 'In the Summer'. However, he declared the dissolution in 1995, and Kim Sung-jae suddenly passed away that year, traumatizing fans.
The last song released under deuce's name was 「Love, Fear」 (1997)」, which added Lee Hyun-do's rap to the unfinished song Kim Sung-jae was preparing for while he was alive.
Lee Hyun-do has been planning to work on new songs since AI technology began to be commercialized. Since this year is Sungjae's 30th anniversary, I want to impress him again."
Currently, Lee Hyun-do is in collaboration discussions with a specialized company in charge of voice restoration and learning, and the release date of the new song is expected to be as early as the end of this year.
