The late Park Yong-sik died on August 2, 2013, at the age of 67, while being treated at a hospital for sepsis due to a ubiquitous infection after returning from Cambodia, where he visited to film a movie.
The ubiquiter, which the deceased suffered before his death, is an infectious disease that occurs mainly in tropical regions such as Southeast Asia, and has been recorded as the first death case from the ubiquitous bacteria in Korea, attracting social attention.
Park Yong-sik, who was born in 1946, debuted in 1967 as the fourth member of TBC's open talent and continued to work in dramas and movies. Although he was loved for his heavy image and stable acting skills, there were times when it was difficult to see his face on TV for a while.
In the days of the 5th Republic, the deceased was banned from appearing on TV for four years because of his resemblance to former President Chun Doo-hwan and had to stop working in the entertainment industry. After that, he had to endure for more than 10 years by running a mill for a living. At the time, Park Yong-sik said in an interview, `It was so unfair. He confessed, "There was a realistic problem because he couldn't do his activities."
However, he made a strong impression after playing the role of former President Chun Doo-hwan in MBC dramas 'The Second Republic' and 'The Fourth Republic' and met with the public again by playing a strong supporting role in the films 'Exploration All', 'NeverEnding Story', and '18 and 19'.
