MBC weather forecasters dressed in black and appeared on the show to commemorate the first anniversary of the late former weatherman Oyoanna, drawing attention.

Lee Hyun-seung, Geum Chae-rim, and Kim Ga-young, who appeared in MBC news programs 'News Today', 'News Desk' and 'News and Economy' that aired on the 15th, all appeared in black costumes. All of them are in contrast to the appearance of wearing colorful primary-colored costumes until the previous day's broadcast, and it is interpreted that they intentionally expressed their condolences in time for the first anniversary of the deceased.

Oyoanna, born in 1996, joined MBC as a weatherman for open recruitment in 2021, but died of extreme choices in September last year while working as a freelance contractor. A 17-page suicide note was found on his mobile phone and said he had been constantly bullied by his colleagues. Based on this, the bereaved family filed a civil lawsuit against an employee identified as the perpetrator.

In the Department of Employment and Labor's special labor supervision, there was bullying within the organization", but it was concluded that the deceased, who was in the form of a freelance contract, was not recognized as a worker under the Labor Standards Act and could not be subject to workplace harassment regulations.

On the other hand, coincidentally, on the same day as the first anniversary of the deceased, MBC announced that it would abolish the freelance weatherman system and establish a 'weather and climate expert system' that includes hiring regular workers.

However, the bereaved family, who had been holding a hunger strike in front of the MBC headquarters in Sangam-dong, Seoul since the 8th, protested, saying, `We even went on a hunger strike to demand the regularization of the weather caster, but rather the decision to cut off the colleagues of the deceased.'
