On the 26th, Green Umbrella, a specialized child welfare agency, said that Jimin's younger brother, identified only by his surname Park, was listed on the Green Noble Club in May. As a result, Jimin's family became the first Green Noble Club to have a younger brother after Jimin and Jimin's father.
Jimin became a member of the Green Noble Club in 2021, spending 100 million won to support young people preparing for self-reliance in Busan, support children's families who are struggling economically after COVID-19, and improve the residential environment of children with poor residential conditions. It is rumored that children who received support through Jimin's 'Green Future' project have successfully become self-reliant as cafe start-ups, hairdressers, and nursing assistants.
In addition to donations through green umbrellas, Jimin has been sponsoring 30 million won in scholarships for juniors at his alma mater, Busan Arts High School, every year since 2019. In addition, they are constantly interested in supporting their alma mater by replacing 1,200 desks and chairs for juniors in 2020 and delivering donations to juniors who have difficulty preparing for entrance exams.
Starting with the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education in 2019, it has provided 100 million won in educational donations to the Jeonbuk Office of Education in Gangwon-do, Chungbuk, and Gyeongnam, and has purchased and provided more than 30 million won in ramen every year for local single-parent families and elderly people living alone. In 2021, 100 million won was provided to the International Rotary Club, and in 2023, it delivered scholarships to Busan Dong-dong University of Science, as well as 100 million won for emergency relief for children affected by earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria. In addition, while serving in the military, he donated 100 million won as a scholarship to medical expenses for living for army soldiers and their families, and 100 million won was donated to support firefighters struggling to damage forest fires in Gyeongbuk. Recently, 30 million won was offered to improve the residential environment for the low-income elderly.
Jimin's father has been a supporter of Green Umbrella for four years since 2021. He provided 15 million won for the treatment of the head of a rich family who cannot eat properly because he has no teeth, and provides monthly living expenses for children who have been separated from their main caregivers due to family circumstances. In addition, it has started sponsoring three high school students who almost gave up their dreams due to the most difficult situation due to COVID-19, and has continued to apply until now when they passed the university.
To express gratitude for the good sharing of Jimin and his family, Green Umbrella delivered a plaque of appreciation for Chairman Hwang Young-ki of Green Umbrella in 2024 to Jimin's father and a plaque of appreciation in the name of National Sponsor Choi Bul-am of Green Umbrella in 2025.
