IU Moves Fans to Tears with Heartwarming Gesture at 2025 Fan Meet-up

IU brought fans to tears with her heartfelt fan service.

On the 13th and 14th, IU held the 2025 IU Fan Meetup [Bye, Summer] at the KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

This fan meeting marked her first offline performance in about two years since the 2023 fan concert I-UNIVERSE. IU presented a diverse repertoire, including not only her hit songs but also her latest track.

The highlight of the show came during the encore stage. While singing I’ll Be Your Audience, IU made a surprise appearance among the audience, greeting fans as she moved through the venue. When passing by the wheelchair section, she made eye contact and held hands with each fan, even approaching those whose wheelchairs were fixed toward the stage and couldn’t turn around to see her, singing directly to them.

Once this scene spread online, fans were deeply moved by IU’s love and care for her audience, flooding comments with praise such as: “I cried the whole time,” “It was truly touching,” and “IU is indeed IU.”

IU also released her new single Bye, Summer on the 10th. Following her success earlier this year with the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines, she is currently filming her next project, The 21st Century Lady of the Court.
