According to a News 1 report on the 11th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office is investigating Jung Dong-won on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (unlicensed driving). Jung Dong-won reportedly drove a vehicle without a license in a local city in 2023. At the time, he was 16 years old and unable to obtain a driver's license.
Article 82 of the Road Traffic Act permits the acquisition of a driver's license, such as a type 1 ordinary license, from the age of 18 or older. If you violate this and drive, you can face up to 10 months in prison or a fine of 3 million won.
Chung Dong-won's agency, Showplay Entertainment, has yet to disclose its position in this regard.
Meanwhile, Jung Dong-won was suspended from prosecution in March last year after he was caught driving a motorcycle on the eastern Seoul railroad where two-wheeled vehicles were banned.
