The Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee (Chairman Kim Jun-ho) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea International Cultural Exchange Promotion Agency (Director Park Chang-sik) at the Korea International Cultural Exchange Promotion Agency in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 16th (Tue).
The two organizations decided to establish a joint cooperation system aimed at revitalizing international cultural exchanges and spreading performing arts globally. In addition, we plan to continue collaboration in various fields, including planning and promoting international cultural exchanges and Hallyu-related projects, developing joint projects, and promoting and exchanging culture.
In particular, this agreement is significant in that it will be joined by the Busan International Comedy Festival, which has established itself as a comedy festival representing Asia, and the Korea International Cultural Exchange Promotion Agency, an organization specializing in cultural exchanges between countries. In the future, it is expected to be an opportunity to show the various charms of the Korean Wave to global audiences as well as the international spread of various performance contents.
Kim Jun-ho, Executive Chairman of the Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee, said "We expect global cultural communication to become more active through comedy."We will continue to meet more foreign audiences with this agreement." he said. Park Chang-sik, president of the Korea International Cultural Exchange Promotion Agency, then said, `We hope to expand the scope of international cultural exchange through cooperation with the Busan International Comedy Festival and achieve positive results in the spread of the Korean Wave.'
Meanwhile, the Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee plans to continue to promote specific and practical cooperation such as joint planning performances, international exchange projects, and public relations cooperation in the future.
