Jung Dong-won was booked on charges of driving a vehicle without a license (violation of the Road Traffic Act) in 2023 when he was 16. Police recently sent the case to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office.
According to Article 82 of the Road Traffic Act, you can obtain a license to drive a car, including a Type 1 normal license, from the age of 18. Driving without a license can result in up to 10 months in prison or a fine of 3 million won.
Jung Dong-won was suspended from prosecution in March 2023 after he was caught driving a motorcycle on the eastern Seoul railway, where motorcycle traffic was prohibited.
