Oyoanna, who has been an MBC weatherman since 2021, died in September last year at the age of 28. The bereaved family claimed that the deceased left 17 suicide notes and received psychiatric counseling more than 10 times due to bullying by his seniors. As the controversy grew, MBC announced on the 15th that it would abolish the freelance weatherman system and establish a 'weather and climate expert' system in the form of hiring regular workers. On the same day, weather forecasters Geum Chae-rim, Lee Hyun-seung, and Kim Ga-young dressed in black costumes and hosted a forecast broadcast to commemorate the first anniversary of their colleagues.
