Singer and actor Um Jung-hwa revealed the time when she collapsed for a while due to vocal cord nodules.

On the 14th 'Fairy Jae-hyung' channel, a video was posted that 'There is a person who flew to Jeju Island and played for only 6 hours and went to Seoul.'"

Recalling the time of vocal cord nodule, Uhm Jung-hwa recalled "I wanted to sing so badly, but I couldn't make a sound because I was worried about my voice and I had no energy." Uhm Jung-hwa said she got hope from the words of a vocal music hospital doctor after that, saying, `Why can't the teacher sing '. You can do it enough. At that time, I couldn't even do 'Do Re Mi-pa', but I was so teary. When the teacher told me that, I thought 'I guess I can do it' I hate people who say they can't. Some people can lead the same words positively, while others can't. He expressed his upset feelings, saying, `If you say, 'You can't sing anymore, isn't it the end of a person's life?'"

Meanwhile, Um Jung-hwa underwent thyroid cancer surgery in 2010. Later, he suffered vocal cord paralysis as a result of the aftereffects, but he regained his voice after rehabilitation. In 2016, he released his 10th studio album, proving his robustness.
