A mother in her 40s, who brought her teenage daughter to the hospital after killing her in Namhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, was arrested on charges of abandonment.

According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, A is accused of assaulting his biological daughter B to death at a residence in Namhae-gun at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd of last month.

Mr. A took his daughter to the emergency room of a hospital in Namhae-gun by car, but at the time, Ms. B was already without breathing and pulse. The medical staff checked the bruises and wounds on Ms. B's whole body and immediately reported them to the police as they suspected a criminal connection.

The information was also covered on JTBC 'Case Team Leader', which aired on the 1st. According to the case leader, at the time, Mr. A "My daughter did not die."He complained to the medical staff, and the police immediately arrested and arrested Mr. A early the next day. The police charged him with abandonment, believing that A killed his injured daughter because he did not allow her to be treated in time, and have not ruled out the possibility of the charges changing during the investigation.

During the investigation, A said "I didn't know my daughter was this sick. When I went to the car while working, I lost consciousness and took him to the hospital," he said, denying the charges.

In particular, A is known as a person who lives in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, and has been engaged in various activities such as local singers, broadcast announcers, promotional ambassadors, and YouTube operations, adding to the shock.

Just before the incident, I visited Namhae with my daughter to help with a fire drill event hosted by Namhae Fire Station. However, CCTV at the venue and testimony from officials only showed A working alone, but no daughter was seen. The police are weighing the possibility that A left his daughter in the vehicle while participating in the event.

On the other hand, 'the case leader' cited the psychological expert's analysis and explained Mr. A's behavior in the hospital in two ways: 'First, the possibility of not accepting reality due to psychological injustice, and second, the possibility of overacting to cover up the allegations.'

The police have requested an autopsy to the National Forensic Service and are investigating the exact cause of death and the circumstances of the incident.
