Aura and Friday recently held a fan meeting in Kochi, Kerala, and met with fans. The fan meeting was held during Diwali, India's biggest holiday, marking the musical exchange between Korea and India in a festival-like atmosphere.
Aura reinterpreted the Kerala traditional folk song Boat Song in a K-pop style, presenting performances including 'Thi Thara', which gained huge popularity last year. His stage impressed local fans in India with Kerala's traditional rhythms and K-pop performances.
Friday then turned the scene into a frenzy with a DJ set that mixes Malayalam music and K-pop. The stage of the two artists went beyond simple performances and created a new cultural moment where Kerala's music and Korean pop music became one.
Meanwhile, "Aura" and "Friday" drew enthusiastic responses in Korea with their collaborative song "Kimchi Dosa" released last month.
