At the 'Kim Soo-mi Memorial Donation Delivery Ceremony' held at the Good Neighbors Hall (Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul) on the 23rd, his daughter-in-law Seo Hyo-rim and his wife attended as representatives of the bereaved families to commemorate the deceased and convey the meaning of sharing.
The donation delivered on this day is a book of the late actor Kim Soo-mi's life diary, "I plead." It was raised from royalties from All Things That Kill Me. Good Neighbors will provide scholarships and living expenses for children in crisis in Korea through the 「Deceased Kim Sumi Scholarship Support Project」.
The late Kim Soo-mi has been a representative actor in Korea for more than 50 years and has been loved by the public enough to be called the "people's mother". Even during her lifetime, she has practiced warm sharing to help marginalized neighbors, and even after she passed away, she continued her warm heart by donating her assets.
Actor Seo Hyo-rim, daughter-in-law, planned to donate the proceeds according to the will of the deceased while publishing his mother's diary"I hope that the warm heart of the mother, who usually took a close look at the children and neighbors around her, will be delivered to the world."
With this donation, the late Kim Soo-mi was listed on the Good Neighbors Heritage Donator's Association 'The Nevers Legacy Club', and Good Neighbors will prepare and operate an online memorial hall and honor space so that the spirit of sharing of the deceased can be remembered for a long time.
