JYP to Host Charity Basketball Tournament ‘JYPBT 2025’

JYP Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as JYP) continues its 'priority company' move.

JYP will hold the '2025 JYPBT Championship ('JYPBT') at the gymnasium of Baejae High School in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, from Nov. 29 to 30. The participation fee for the charity basketball tournament will be used in full as a donation to support treatment expenses for vulnerable children.

A total of 20 teams will participate in 'JYPBT', which marks its second anniversary this year, and the game will be played in a single-round tournament. In the men's general division, eight representative teams selected through regional qualifiers held in five regions, including Chungcheong, Gyeongsang, Gangwon, Jeolla, Seoul/Gyeonggi, will participate to determine the strongest team in the country. In addition, the 8th team of men's seniors and 4th team of women's teams will join to compete fiercely for the top spot in each category.

Owls (men's general), MSA (men's senior), and LM (women's) who won each of last year's competitions will participate again this year. Attention is also focusing on whether they will be able to keep the defending champion position amid the tension that instantaneous concentration and teamwork determine the outcome. Prior to the opening of the finals, contents containing the regional qualification process will be released sequentially through a basketball YouTube channel 'Paul In Love'. In the video, an event match with local national teams, former and current professional players and elite players will be held to raise expectations for the main tournament.

All games of this competition will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of 'JYPBT' and Naver Zizik, and Black Label, Molten, and Hansol Remicon will participate as sponsors to add meaning to sharing.

YP is carrying out a variety of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities under the slogan 'Every Dream Matters!: Every Dream Matters in the World' to return the love received from domestic and foreign fans and the public to society. It is expanding its good influence by continuing various social contribution projects such as 'EDM treatment cost support project' to support the dreams of children and 'Love Earth' to create healthy soil for future generations.

Meanwhile, JYP's head Park Jin-young was appointed as a co-chairman of the Popular Culture Exchange Committee under President Lee Jae-myung last month and received ministerial-level treatment.
