On the 31st, Lee Jang-woo posted on his SNS page, "APEC 2025 KOREA is being held in our city of Gyeongju. A race that shines in the world. I'm so proud of you," and posted a photo of the scene.
The released photos showed journalists from inside and outside lined up to taste walnut snacks at a booth near the Gyeongju Convention Center. Lee Jang-woo said "Buchang Jegwa, who is promoting Korea with taste and smile, and reporters from home and abroad are lining up to taste walnut snacks. As expected, K- walnut cookies are different," he said, expressing his pride in K-food.
Especially, Lee Jang-woo said, "Jensen Hwang, since you had K-chicken, let's have a bite of the bouchangje and walnut bread.", drew attention by directly mentioning Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who recently made K-food a hot topic during his visit to Korea.
At the event site, 'new baked walnut snacks' were served on the spot, drawing enthusiastic responses from the press corps. In fact, the queue of people who want to taste walnut cookies continued to prove their popularity.
Buchang Confectionery is a brand that has been restored by FG CEO Lee Kyung-won, a traditional bakery that disappeared in the 1990s. It has surpassed 100 million cumulative sales in six months after the launch of walnut cookies, raising the status of K-dessert. In commemoration of APEC, a new version of 'Global Taste Version K Nutcracker' that reduced sweetness and emphasized savory flavor was also introduced.
