Yeom Hye-ran delivers the pain of the times with her voice.

Yeom Hye-ran participated as the narrator in a special radio documentary for the 77th anniversary of the Yeosun Incident produced by Yeosu MBC. It helps with meaningful projects that remember and convey the pain of the times.

The Yeosun Incident began in October 1948 when some of the Armed Forces refused the order to suppress Jeju April 3 in the eastern part of Jeollanam-do, including Yeosu and Suncheon. As the movement spread to the surrounding areas, the government declared an emergency martial law for the first time in Korea to crack down hard, and numerous civilians were killed in the process. In this regard, since the enactment of the Special Act in 2021, fact-finding and honor recovery have been promoted.

The 2025 Broadcasting Culture Promotion Association's content production support contest selection work '1948 Women' is a radio documentary that informs the horrors of the times by listening directly to 'Women's Life' through oral statements of female bereaved families at the time when they had to go through the Yeosun Incident. Yeom Hye-ran, who participated in another project to announce the pain of modern Korean history following the appearance of the film 『My Name』 (directed by Jeong Ji-young), was in the position of looking at and remembering the painful history as 『History Conveyor" through 『1948 Women』.

In particular, Yeom Hye-ran, who is from Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, who added more special meaning to the meaningful project, said, `It was a close incident with Jeju April 3, when the movie took place, and it was even more painful when the names were familiar because it took place in Yeosu, where I was born and raised.' `It was very meaningful to talk with the voices of women and children in historical events, and I hope my voice will comfort the bereaved families a little bit"He expressed his sincere feelings about participating in the narration.
