WorldShare, an international relief and development NGO, announced on the 19th that it delivered Korean language education and housing support expenses to Tamang and conducted customized education and job experience programs for long-term independence.
The support was based on donations raised by the World Share official website and a fundraising campaign held through Happy Bean after MBC 'Being Born Around the World 4' broadcast. WorldShare organized this program with the aim of helping Tamang design her own life and explore career paths beyond simple financial support.
At the same time as delivering donations to Tamang, WorldShare conducted basic economic education to prepare a living plan table and practice spending management. Through this, the focus was on strengthening the foundation for self-reliance so that Tamang can develop the ability to plan and check its own monthly budget.
In addition, the initial registration was supported with a 1:1 basic Korean course, reflecting the academic level of Tamang. After selecting the most suitable academy through a preliminary survey, they visited the local academy together to complete the registration, and Tamang plans to start learning Korean in earnest this month.
A job experience program was also held in consideration of the interests of others. For Tamang, who showed interest in climbing and cooking in pre-interviews, we prepared a time to learn safety education and basic movements at a professional climbing facility. He then participated in the Korean food cooking class to experience the cooking process firsthand and help them understand various professional worlds.
Tamang was very happy to experience new activities such as climbing, cooking, and shopping"Thanks to my supporters and world share, I got the opportunity to study, and I also gained confidence that I could do well." "I will study hard in the future with a firm mind."I expressed my appreciation.
Chung Hye-rim, president of the World Share Nepal branch, said, `I am very happy to be able to deliver the necessary support to Tamang thanks to the warm interest of Korean sponsors.' `We will continue to provide responsible support not only to Tamang but also to Nepalese children who are under vulnerable conditions."
Through its Nepal branch, WorldShare plans to continue regular exchanges with Tamang, inspect psychology, learning, and life in general, and continue to provide self-reliance support tailored to the situation of children, including technical education, vocational training, and connection with educational institutions. In addition, various programs such as tuition and school supplies support will be expanded so that children in Nepal's alpine region can continue their studies without being forced to livelihood work.
