As rumors spread that singer Chris (real name Wu Yi Pan, Canadian), a former member of the group EXO who is serving his sentence in China for sexual assault, died while in prison, Chinese police officially extinguished the situation, calling it "fake news".

As false information spread exponentially, the Jiangsu Provincial Public Security Bureau began to evolve directly through the official Weibo.
