KBS conveyed its deep condolences to the news of the late actor Lee Soon-jae's death.

KBS said on the 25th that `The deceased, who was the best active actor, has been writing the history of Korean dramas through his passionate acting activities,' adding that `The deceased began acting as an exclusive actor of the first TBC in 1965 before color TV was introduced to Korea, and has contributed to greatly improving the dignity of Korean TV dramas along with the development of broadcasting technology," he said.

KBS, in particular, selected the deceased as the oldest winner of the KBS Drama Awards in honor of his passion for acting at the age of ninety years from the 1980s to 2024, with his heartfelt performances ranging from 'Fun', 'Ordinary People', 'Bathroom Men', 'Bathroom Men','Mother Is Angry','Bathroom Men','Bathroom Men','," he added.




KBS has organized a special program to commemorate the achievements of the deceased and has also set up a separate memorial space. According to the schedule, the first to fourth episodes of 'Gae-Sori' will be aired from 10:45 p.m. on the same day, and 'Drama City - Ten Minutes, Your Minor' will be broadcast at 11:10 p.m. on the 26th. KBSN organized the 1st to 6th episodes of 'Geosori' at 10 a.m. on the 27th, and the 7th to 12th episodes of 'Geosori' at 10 a.m. on the 28th.

The memorial space was installed on the second floor of the KBS main building in Yeouido, Seoul, and will be open for ordinary citizens to pay their respects until the 30th. KBS said, `We have set up an memorial altar to honor the artistic achievements and dedication of the deceased who contributed to the development of Korean broadcasting for over half a century, and provide time to mourn the members and viewers who remember the deceased.'
