Kim Hee-ra has been loved as a "luxury licorice actor" for starring in more than 1,800 works, including dramas 'Daejanggeum' and 'Isan'. Now he is working as a guide in Vietnam and living a new life.
Kim Hee-ra, who revealed that she was fighting breast cancer in the past, said "The body was swollen about a half times due to side effects of anticancer drugs. I was wondering if I could work as an actor with such a body, so I went to Vietnam with a desperate heart." After the day's work, he also showed difficulty by massaging his swollen legs. Living alone away from his family, he smiled brightly while talking to his son on the phone, and when his son asked him what he was up to, he replied, `Now I'm not that hard because I've adjusted a lot.'

He `caught a lump in his right chest during the shower. I was examined just in case, and I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer,' he recalled at the time. He then received 18 anticancer treatments and 33 radiation treatments after cancer surgery. Currently, Kim Hee-ra has recovered her health without any aftereffects after completing treatment. He `maintained inflammation management, exercise, and healthy eating habits to prevent recurrence," he said with a smile.
In the VCR at home, which was released on the broadcast, a wig used during the fight against the disease also appeared. With tears in her eyes, Kim Hee-ra said "It's been more than 10 years since we got divorced. I was so scared because there was no family next to me when I was sick. The others were taken care of and spoiled by my husband, but I had to endure alone. It was more difficult than cancer treatment to have no one to lean on."
