The '2025 Screenplay Contest' is divided into two one-act episodes/scenarios (one 100-minute long movie) and miniseries (8-16 episodes). Both newcomers and established writers are eligible to apply, and a total of four writers will be selected, including the best prize and two excellence prizes, for each field of contest.
The total prize money for the "2025 Screenplay Contest" will be 130 million won, and the winner of the one-act two-part/scenario (one 100-minute film) will receive 30 million won in the grand prize, 20 million won in the excellence prize, 50 million won in the miniseries (8-16 episodes) and 30 million won in the excellence prize.
In addition to the prize money, award-winning writers are given a variety of privileges. The selected writers will be provided with separate work spaces and creative support funds at Sangam MBC and Gangnam MBC Smart Center every month, and they will be provided with 1:1 mentoring from experienced professional producers to concentrate on their work development activities as MBC's exclusive writers for a year after their election.
The public offering period is from April 10 to 6 p.m. on the 17th. Only online applications are available through the website of the MBC Drama Playbook Contest, and mail or door-to-door applications are not possible.
At the time of application, the contents of the submission can be submitted by submitting about 10 A4 sheets and about 35 A4 sheets and one to two scripts (70 minutes per episode) in the ● scenario (one 100 minutes per episode) in the A4 sheet and about 10 A4 sheets and about 70 scripts, and about 1 to 2 scripts (about 8 to 16 episodes) in the ● mini-series (about 70 minutes per episode) in the A4 sheet and about 15 A4 sheets and about 35 scripts (about 1 to 2 copies) in the A4 sheet.

Novels, scenarios, webtoons, and plays that the author himself is the original author and currently holds the copyright can also be adapted and applied.
As in last year, the contest is aimed at responding to the trend of producing various types of dramas and increasing opportunities to meet competent writers across the fields of dramas and movies.
