At a press conference to commemorate the 700th anniversary of KBS2 'Immortal Songs' held at KBS New Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the 17th, Lee Chan-won said "Whenever Jung Dong-won sees me, he treats me 'the Grand Prize MC."
Lee Chan-won commented on how he felt about the 700th anniversary of the 'Immortal Songs', saying, 'I filled it for 14 years, and I've been doing it for 15 years.''Immortal Songs' is a long-lived program following 'National Singing Contest', 'Song Stage', and 'Open Concert'. It is an honor that I did not participate in all 700 episodes, but I am still loved by the people. It's a great luck for me, and I want to work hard until the 800th and 1000th episodes," he said.
In particular, 'Immortal Songs' is the best musical entertainment program in name and reality, boasting a built-in rating of the same time. In addition to winning the best program award selected by viewers for three consecutive years last year, MC Shin Dong-yup and Lee Chan-won were the grand prize winners of all time.
Lee Chan-won, who won the grand prize at the 2024 KBS Entertainment Awards held last year, was the first to hold the grand prize trophy among the members of 'Mr. Trot'. He said "Jang Min-ho was at the awards ceremony, and the most memorable reaction was Jung Dong-won." Since I'm still a student, when I meet him, he always acts like a naughty boy, but now he treats me like a 'grand prize MC'. Whenever he meets me, he calls me 'Lee Daesang ' with a smile.
Meanwhile, the 700th special episode of KBS2 Immortal Songs will air at 6:05 p.m. on April 5th and 12th.
