Director Yeon Sang-ho shared his feelings about working with actors Ryu Jun-yeol and Shin Hyun-bin in the Netflix film 'Gye Si-rok'.

Director Yeon Sang-ho met with Sports Chosun at a hotel in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the 24th and said, `Ryu Jun-yeol is an actor full of passion for movies,' adding, `I thought Shin Hyun-bin was a professional character acting, but when I met him, he was very bright.'

Released on the 21st, 'Gye Sirok' tells the story of a pastor who believes that it is God's revelation to condemn the criminal of the disappearance case and a detective in charge of the disappearance case who suffers from the illusion of his dead brother chasing their respective beliefs. Director Yeon Sang-ho, who directed the films 'Train to Busan', 'Pandae', and the drama 'Hell', took the megaphone, and director Alfonso Cuaron participated as an executive producer.

Director Yeon said of Ryu Jun-yeol, who played the role of pastor Sung Min-chan "He is an actor who constantly doubts his performance from one to ten. The character's gait was also agonizing over whether it would be right to walk like this. The attitude toward the movie was very serious. When I saw Ryu Jun-yeol, he seemed to think only about exercising and watching movies. The energy, immersion, and direction of interpreting the work were also good. Ryu Jun-yeol had a lot of questions at the first meeting, and he asked if it was okay. So he answered 'Do whatever you want to do' But the content of the question was so good, and he didn't even ask useless questions. I was able to give a clear answer to that by asking a clear question why I was specifically concerned about this."

Regarding Shin Hyun-bin, who played detective Lee Yeon-hee, "At first, I thought about whether I should focus on the job of detective Lee Yeon-hee or whether it is important to be a character with guilt and trauma.""Lee Yeon-hee felt that it was good to set it in a state of anxiety that she did not know when it would break because she was weighed down by guilt. I was thinking about who could express the process of overcoming it well, and Shin Hyun-bin came to mind. It was also good to show the evil side in the drama 'People Like You', and it was also impressive when I played an archaeologist who lost a child in the scenario 'Geoy'," he said.

In the meantime, Shin Hyun-bin, who showed a 180-degree different performance from his previous work, said, `I heard that he is an expert in acting characters (laughs). Originally, I thought the actor himself would be in that tone, but when I met him in person, he was too bright. It was amazing because Park Bok-mi was on my face (laughs). Up until the beginning and middle of the play, he was weighed down by something and followed it quietly. He praised it, saying, "In the latter part, he vomited his feelings and performed acting that only Shin Hyun-bin could express."

Director Yeon plans to meet Shin Hyun-bin in the `Face' following the `Gyesilok````````````. In response, he said "I heard that it would be fun for actors as well. ""It's completely different from the way it was shown in "Revelations""" and "It was an independent film, so I had to work beautifully."" he tipped off.
