In an interview with Sports Chosun on the afternoon of the 28th, Lee Hye-young delivered a behind-the-scenes episode of the action film 'Fagwa' (directed by Min Kyu-dong, produced by Soo Films).
Based on the novel of the same name by Koo Byung-mo, 'Fagua' is a breathtaking blood-red battle between a legendary killer who has been working for 40 years in the Sacred Quarantine, which deals with cockroach-like humans, and a mysterious killer who pursues him. Lee Hye-young played the legendary killer sculpture that all killers admire and fear in the play.
Lee Hye-young decided to appear while I was starring in a drama called `My House.' Less than 10 days after the drama, I didn't even have time to build my body because I started filming. Fortunately, director Mingyu-dong wanted to look natural. I wanted energy to come out of my body that seemed really old. So as an action actor, I've never made my body and done it. Still, I thought later that I had to train a little to prevent injury. To me, the keyword of 'Fagua' was between emotion and skill," he replied.
He was hurt a lot in action. The first shooting was the action of falling into a pit in Itaewon, but while filming it, my ribs went out. The Itaewon shoot had to be finished in 2 nights and 3 days, so I put up with it and another rib went out. As I did this, my body broke down and I felt anxious and alone if the movie didn't come out properly. I kept getting injured while filming this work. I got an ankle injury just by filming a jogging scene. I had to go to the hospital no matter what the scene was," he said with a smile.
Then "It was hot, but I wore long underwear and kicked a protective band. Wearing a bandaged body, long johns, and putting protection on top of it again hindered everything I was immersed in acting. It was physically very difficult, and it was not easy to act at the boundary between emotion and skill. Still, I learned a lot from director Min. So far, I've done my own acting. On the one hand, it could be an old-fashioned act. The opponent waited until the emotion came up. When I think about it when I'm doing a drama, every director seems to have watched me a lot. Suddenly, when I said I would change it, the directors listened to everything I said. But Director Min didn't listen. I asked if I read the script. Some 100 staff members were scolded for waiting. I met director Min and experienced a completely different world."
Lee Hye-young, Kim Sung-chul, Yeon Woo-jin, Kim Moo-yeol, and Cynthia appeared in the `Fear Story' series `Ganshin``Herstory` and director Mingyu-dong took the megaphone. It will be released on the 30th.
