Lee Hee-joon, who is praised for his outstanding acting skills that make viewers accept as well as unlimited character transformation across dramas, movies, and plays, will present his second work 'rectangle, triangle' as a director. 'Rectangular, Triangular' was officially invited to the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival's Korean Cinema section as a work written and directed by Lee Hee-jun, which tells the story of old conflicts being exposed to the surface one by one at a family meeting where they met for good. Lee Hee-jun meets with the audience once again as a director following the autobiographical short 'Byeonghun's Day' in 2018.
The Jeonju International Film Festival said "'Rectangular, Triangular' is a sharp and interesting work that shows the nature of the family, and it seems to have been filmed in a limited space called a real villa. Director Lee Hee-joon, who drew dense acting from the actors even in a difficult environment even when the actors were sitting down, said, "The ability of the director Lee Hee-joon is great."
At the same time, Lee Hee-jun visits Jeonju as an actor with a film 'Tangerine-Gule-Gule' that works with director Ko Bong-soo again following 'Humidity'. "GyuleGyule" is a work that unravels the complexity and wounds of human relationships with humor and warm sensibility, and Lee Hee-jun will participate in the opening ceremony as well as the dialogue with the audience (GV) and various events to tell the behind-the-scenes story about the work.
While expectations are high for Lee Hee-joon's move to shine at the Jeonju International Film Festival through his two works as a director and actor, the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival will be held on Jeonju Film Street and around Jeonju City from the 30th to May 9th.
