"First Lady" (played by Kim Hyung-wan, directed by Lee Ho-hyun) is a work that depicts political conspiracies and family secrets in a speedy manner, focusing on the unprecedented situation that occurs when her husband, who was elected president, demands a divorce from his wife who will become the first lady. The relationship between the three figures goes to the extreme in the 67 days remaining from the victory of the presidential election to the inauguration of the president, with the brutal power game and suffocating family conflict intersecting.
Eugene will return to the small screen after three years as Cha Soo-yeon in the play. Cha Soo-yeon is a strategist and celebrity who raised her husband to the presidency, but her life is shaking as she was notified of her divorce upon election. Following his strong performance in the movie 'Penthouse', he plans to capture viewers again with his meticulous and three-dimensional emotional lines.
Ji Hyun-woo plays Hyun Min-cheol, a former worker-turned-president-elect, shedding his existing romantic image and creating heavy charisma. He is a former orphan who rose to the presidency after overcoming a difficult life, and is a complex character who conflicts to balance power and human relations.
Lee Min-young appears as Shin Hae-rin, Hyun Min-chul's secretary and political partner. It is expected that he will be responsible for the immersion of the play in the subtle emotional line and confrontation structure with the people who hold the center of power as a faithful helper regardless of means.
The production team added depth to the work with solid acting skills and presence"It's a political drama, but it will also provide intense fun as a relationship drama involving power, love, and betrayal."
Based on six years of planning, 'First Lady' has begun full-scale production and completed script reading on the 13th. It will be aired on MBN in the second half of this year.
