The production briefing for the movie 'Soju War' was held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 24th. Yoo Hae-jin, Lee Je-hoon, Son Hyun-joo, and Choi Young-joon attended the event.
'Soju War' is a story about the 1997 IMF financial crisis, the life of a soju company, the financial director Jongrok, and a global investment company employee who pursues only achievements, confronts the fate of the Korean people's soju. Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Je-hoon have their first meeting on screen, raising expectations. Yoo Hae-jin, the main character, is "Soju is the main one." Perhaps because it was about alcohol, the scenario was easily read. And I chose this character because I liked his humanity."
Lee Je-hoon said "This opportunity is not common because Yoo Hae-jin said he would do this work, so I enjoyed reading the scenario with the expectation of being able to do it together. The actors were so perfect for the character that I chose it because I thought that if we all came together and formed an ensemble, an interesting and fun work could come out."
Lee Je-hoon then mentioned Yoo Hae-jin's role in the play and said, "The motto of this character is that the company is life, but when I see you, the movie is life." Then "I developed my dream of becoming an actor while watching my senior's work. I can't believe we're together like this??C. There was a moment when I confronted and built friendships with this work, and I was amazed and surprised while acting. My senior gave me a lot of stimulation, so I was able to get my character in line with my feet and come out with a new look. I love this piece."
The charm of the characters shown by Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Je-hoon is expected to fill 'Soju War'. Yoo Hae-jin "Pyo Jong-rok looks ordinary on the outside and is a typical company worker. He is a man of strength inside. He has stubbornness and conviction, and the charm of Pyo Jong-rok is that Son Hyun-joo is our chairman, but he doesn't seem to be necessarily 'yes man'. If it's necessary for the company, he's a person who wants to protect the company by presenting what he needs."
