SBS Dominates Second Half of 2024 with Hit Shows Across TV and Streaming

SBS has completely dominated the entertainment market in the second half of 2024. All of this year's newly introduced entertainment shows showed outstanding performances in terms of ratings and popularity, proving once again the status of 'Entertainment Master'.

'Hantang Project-My Turn', which premiered in August, shows the essence of a B-class emotional reality show, achieving 10 million views online even before the broadcast, and creating a syndrome of being in the top 10 of Netflix for seven consecutive weeks for the first time in SBS entertainment. The 'Island Bachelor Hero' starring Lim Young-woong successfully ended as the No. 1 entertainment viewer rating at the same time, rising to 6.7% per minute.

With this momentum, SBS has launched one ballad audition in the second half of the year 'Our Ballad' and the road talk show 'The Manager-Secretary Team' (Secretary Team), which is too rough for me, and is successively hitting the box office.

"Our Ballad" topped the Tuesdays and Tuesdays entertainment show for six consecutive weeks with a 2.5% viewer rating since its first broadcast, and created a sensation on all platforms, including 100 million cumulative online views and Netflix's entry into the Korean Top 10 for five consecutive weeks. In particular, performers such as Lee Ye-ji, Lee Ji-hoon, Song Ji-woo, and Hong Seung-min are on various topical rankings, enjoying the effect of the performers.

The late-night programming `Secretary Staff' on Friday also shot up to 1.5 percent of the 2049 viewership and 6.7 percent of the highest ratings per minute, establishing itself as a `Friday entertainment show.' The unique chemistry between Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu and the performances of guests such as Lee Soo-ji and Sunwoo Yong-yeo are combined, drawing high attention as they continue to do the episode. Netflix ranked second in Korea's TOP 10 and surpassed 28 million cumulative views on digital platforms in four episodes.

As such, SBS is solidifying its entertainment throne by succeeding in the box office succession of 'Myton', 'Our Ballad', and 'Secretary'. In December, it is expected that the box office run will continue in the second half of the year by predicting the release of the new season 'whenever there is a chance'.
