Director Lee Seon-jeong of the movie 『Guitar Man" recalled the late Kim Sae-ron during his lifetime.

Director Lee met with Sports Chosun at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 21st and said, "Kim Sae-ron showed his passion for acting on the set."It's true that I worked part-time at a cafe before filming."

「Guitar Man」, which will be released on the 30th, is a movie about the love, loss, and journey of a genius guitarist Ki-chul who tries to find hope through connection with music despite the harsh reality, and director Kim Jong-myeon and Lee Seon-jeong took the megaphone.




Director Lee worked with Kim Sae-ron for the first time in acting through 'Guitar Man'. Director Lee played Ki-chul, a genius guitarist who is living on the loose due to lack of money in the play, and Kim Sae-ron played Yu-jin, a keyboardist.

"Guitar Man" is the last film that Kim Sae-ron finished filming while he was alive. He, who was self-reflecting on the charge of drunk driving, finished filming 'Guitar Man' in November last year, but sadly passed away in February this year. Director Lee, who produced, co-directed and starred in the film, explained why he cast Kim Sae-ron as Eugene. He said "My manager was close to Kim Sae-ron's agency, so the proposal came in first. At that time, the actress who was a casting candidate was not 100% fixed, so I met Kim Saeron at the Apgujeong cafe I was running. But Kim Sae-ron read the scenario so meticulously, and he's already prepared as if he memorized it. Can I also work on the scenario with '?He asked me ' That's how passionate he is about working on the movie."

Then "I heard that Saeron Kim has been to a cafe I run before. At that time, Kim Sae-ron was working part-time at another cafe. Some raised suspicions that `Kim Sae-ron's part-time job at a cafe is false,' but it is true that he really did a part-time job. When I asked if it would be better to take a part-time job for a month while filming a movie, he explained, "I understand that I received and submitted it through an employee because I had to submit documents (to the cafe)."
