The Korea Film Critics Association announced on the 6th that it has finally selected the winners (compositions) and 10 best reviews for each category of the Korea Film Critics Association (English Review) after a main review meeting at 6 p.m. on the 3rd.
Director Jang Byung-ki of this year's Youngpyeong Award was honored with the 2nd semester of the 3rd grade and the director's award with the title of 'When Summer Ends'.
Park Jung-min, who played two roles, including Lim Young-kyu's youth and his son Lim Dong-hwan, was selected as the best actor in 'Face' (directed by Yeon Sang-ho). Jang Sun, who played the role of Hong Yi, a daughter who lives with a mother who shows early symptoms of dementia, was selected as the best actress in 'Hong Yi' (directed by Hwang Seul-ki).
The Korean film division of the International Film Criticism Federation (FIPRESCI KOREA) went to 'I Can't Help It' (directed by Park Chan-wook), while the foreign film division was 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (directed by Catfish Kang and Chris Appelhans).
The main trial was conducted for works released from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025. In October, a preliminary trial involving members was held prior to the main trial. Every year, members of the association have selected ten outstanding works throughout the year, taking into account not only the awards by category but also the aesthetics of the work.
