In the launching poster released ahead of the first broadcast in August, the friendly atmosphere of Gong Seung-yeon, Yoo Joon-sang and Kim Jae-young left a fresh aftertaste, adding to expectations.
'I'll take your place on a trip' tells the story of an idol-turned-reporter who has never been a main character in his life, who finds the meaning of life by traveling instead of traveling at someone's request. Based on the novel of the same name by popular Japanese author Maha Harada, director Kang Sol and writer Jung Hoi-hyun of "Self-Luminous Office" join forces to herald a warm sensibility as the scenery of the travel destination.
The released launch poster shows the bright smiles of the three main characters standing in the forest in the background. The copy phrase "For You Who Can't Leave" implicitly shows the message of the drama, and implies that it conveys both vicarious satisfaction and consolation to viewers through the unique setting of vicarious travel.
Gong Seung-yeon plays Kang Yeoreum, a former idol in the play and now a travel reporter. It will delicately express a person who looks like an icon of positivity on the outside but has anxiety inside. Yoo Joon-sang takes the center stage as Oh Sang-sik, CEO of Ogu Entertainment. A former boxer and manager, he shares warm breath with Kang Yeoreum and is responsible for the play's emotion.
Kim Jae-young will make a new acting transformation as Lee Yeon-seok, who dreams of becoming a film director after graduating from engineering college and quitting a large company. With Kang Yeoreum's travel corner editing, it becomes entangled and adds a special sensibility to the play.
'I'll take your place on a trip' will deliver a warm resonance to the summer small screen through episodes containing the actors' harmonious chemistry, the beautiful scenery of the travel destination, and their respective stories. The sensuous visual beauty that will be captured in the background of Japan and Korea is also expected to be another attraction.
Meanwhile, Channel A's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'On behalf of your trip' will air in August.
