SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Judge from Hell' (directed by Park Jin-pyo), which won the Platinum Award, is a fantasy of good and evil coexistence in which Kang Bit-na (Park Shin-hye), a judge possessed by a demon, punishes a sinner with a passionate detective Han Da-on (Kim Jae-young), and seeks true justice. The combination of original worldview, directing, social messages, and actors' enthusiasm drew praise from the global jury.
The same award-winning documentary on the 20th anniversary of the SDF: People Who Saw the Future (directed by Lee Jung-ae) presented a three-dimensional view of the past, present, and future of mankind through interviews with scholars who participated in the SDF over the past 20 years under the theme of 'Age of Divide and Extinction, Rewriting Survival Strategy'. Experts from various fields appeared and delivered in-depth insights, which was highly praised.
In addition, SBS won seven gold medals, two silver awards, and one special judge award. The gold prize was given to 'I want to know-Ruth Yoon-hee and eleven marks', 'SBS Special-Study Exhibition, and the latter to Kim Min-ki', 'Incredible Love', 'JungleBob', 'Jaebeol X Detective', 'Deep Back', and 'BeamerSilok', while the silver prize was awarded to 'A story of biting a tail-circus girl' and 'Please take care of the liberal arts'. 'Neighborhood Restaurant 2' won the Special Jury Prize.
The Houston International Film Festival, which marks its 58th anniversary this year, is one of the top three TV festivals in North America and is well known for producing director Steven Spielberg. In the North American broadcasting industry, it is called the `Remy Award' and is considered a prestigious award along with the Emmy and Tony Awards.
