Director Tak Se-woong told why he cast actor Joo Hyun-young as the main character of the movie 'Stranger Train'.

Director Tak Se-woong said at the press and distribution premiere of the movie 'Stranger Train' held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 24th, "I've been a fan of Joo for a long time, so I wondered what it would be like if Joo played the horror movie."."

Released on July 2, 'Stranger Train' is a mystery horror film in which Da-kyung, a horror YouTuber thirsty for views, encounters a terrible incident while digging into the secrets of Gwanglim Station, where mysterious disappearances occur one after another, and director Tak Se-woong, who directed 'Guimot', took the megaphone.

Tak said of the director's intention to direct the movie, `The attractive point of this movie is the subway space. I often use the subway, but there are moments when I feel weird whenever I get on board. "A subway is an enclosed space and a space where many unspecified people pass by. It was strange and bizarre to see people looking at their phones, wearing earphones, and being disconnected without looking at each other. I wondered what it would be like if there were ghosts or monsters in the space."

The reason for casting Joo Hyun-young in the role of Da-kyung was "I've been a fan of Joo Hyun-young for a long time. I wondered what it would be like to do a horror movie when I saw him acting in 'SNL Korea' or other works. As Da-kyung is a character who leads the play, she should have a charm that can attract people. "I personally look at the actor's eyes deeply when I watch horror movies, and I thought Joo Hyun-young's eyes were deep." At first, Da-kyung was like an MZ YouTuber, but she became increasingly stained with desire as she also showed an otaku-like appearance, and I thought that would look much more attractive when played by a character who was not originally" he said.
