In JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Good Boy', which ended on the 20th, Lee Sang-i played Kim Jong-hyun, a former fencing silver medalist-turned-strong special team, and was loved by viewers, encompassing both strong action and heavy emotional lines. In a written interview released immediately after the end of the show, Lee Sang-i was able to shine thanks to the special teams and staff who became a family throughout the long shoot. When asked to express Kim Jong-hyun's character in one word, Lee Sang-i said, "'A person like a warm iced Americano' although cold on the outside and warm on the inside.'" He also cited 'stickiness and tenacity' as a common point between himself and Jonghyun, and answered honestly that 'I'm not very athletic, but I have a deep friendship with my brother.'
As he appeared as a fencing master in the play, he actually continued training for a long time. Lee Sang-i has been trained in sabre events for over 6 months.
