The melodrama between actors Lee Dong-wook and Lee Sung-kyung, and the combination of the trusted and viewed crew, predicted an unexpected emotional noir.

On the afternoon of the 14th, the production presentation of JTBC's Friday series "Good Man" was held at The Link Hotel in Guro-gu, Seoul, and the production team and actors introduced the charm of works like Pyeongyang naengmyeon and expressed their extraordinary determination to properly open the JTBC's Friday series.

"Good Man" is a human emotional noir about the reunion of Park Seok-cheol (Lee Dong-wook), the eldest son of three generations of thugs, and Kang Mi-young (Lee Sung-kyung), the first love who dreams of becoming a singer. On the outside, it is a 'gangster story', but inside it lies the nostalgia of first love, the complex emotional lines of the family, and the heavy life theme of regret and choice.

In particular, director Song Hae-sung, who proved his sensibility with the movie 「Fairan」, and writer Kim Woon-kyung, who resonated deeply with viewers with the dramas 『Yuna's Street" and 『Seoul's Moon』, joined forces to enhance the completeness.

At the production presentation on this day, Lee Dong-wook said, `There are many colorful genres these days, and our drama is about people who put their feet on the ground. It may seem clichéd because it's a gangster, but I wanted the harshness of such cliché to be felt rather real.' "I was tired in my own way after filming genres for four to five years, but this time I chose it because I wanted to act realistic."

Lee Seong-kyung, the opposite character, said "Lee Dong-wook is visually excellent, so I naturally became immersed. I was able to act that I wanted to embrace and laugh"The love we expressed is not an over-packed melodrama, but a true, pure love story." Then "I didn't lose weight while filming the drama for the first time. Evidence that we took it happily."

Park Hoon plays another role in the precarious love triangle. He explained that the `Kang Tae-hoon character is the most distant person in the family' and that the keywords `first love, family, and relationship' will bring back memories of the past.' "Wouldn't this work be a piece of an era that is being forgotten by the audience?" he added.

Oh Na-ra, who plays Park Seok-kyung, also came up with a proposal just as she wanted to do an old work amid a lot of colorful dramas. I really wanted to do it, so I put a post-it on the mirror of my house and prayed" expressed his affection. He was convinced that `the content is old, but it will be rather fresh because actors are acting these days.'

Ryu Hye-young, who plays Park Seok-hee, who is the youngest but is the most "normal" ," was also tacky when she first saw the script. But he pushed that tacky to the end. These days, individuals' personalities and emotions are respected. I expect such rusticness to come as a charm."

He then appeared on JTBC 'Seocho-dong' and 'Good Man' only this year, and he said "In fact, I've been filming steadily every year, but I'm grateful that the two works aired in the same month this year."

Director Song Hae-sung said, "'Our drama is the story of everyone who is on the road that we haven't gone to'" and added, "'It's a story of choice, regret, and another choice to regain that regret. I wanted to draw the journey of people who want to move forward again even if they have regrets.'

As a former film director and the first director of the drama, he came to admire the existing drama directors more deeply while filming the drama as a film director. The movie has condensed gods within two hours, but the drama is more attractive because it can fully unfold the characters."

Also, director Song had to be an actor who could empathize and persuade Lee Dong-wook on the reason why he casted Lee Dong-wook. I thought it was possible for Lee Dongwook."

As the first runner of JTBC's Friday series, there must be a burden. Director Song said, `Dramas are often judged by ratings. Katabuta is hard to say, but I hope viewers can relate to it and watch it," he said of the wind.

Meanwhile, 'Good Guy' will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on the 18th and will air twice consecutively every Friday night.
