Director Kang Yoon-sung expressed his deep affection for Yang Se-jong, the main character of 'Fine: Villagers'.

Director Kang Yoon-sung met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 18th and said, "I thought it would be fun for viewers to see Yang Se-jong as Oh Hee-dong character."Working together, I felt that his external changes were not very important."

Disney + the original series 『Fine』, which ended on the 13th, is a story of gullible and hard-working mountaineers who flocked to take over a treasure ship buried in the sea in 1977. Director Kang Yoon-sung, who directed the series 'Casino' and the movie 'Crime City', and author Yoon Tae-ho of the webtoon 'Insiders' and 'Misaeng' gathered expectations.

Yang Se-jong played Oh Hee-dong, an upstart who opened his eyes to the taste of money in the play, breaking a new life character. Director Kang watched the previous film 'Duna!' about the reason for casting Yang Se-jong, and he looked like a handsome boy. Just as I gave Yoon Gye-sang the role of Jang Chen in 'The Crime City' before, I think it would be fun if someone who has never played a tough character played it. I thought that viewers would feel something fresh from the perspective of watching that," he said.

In particular, some fans were surprised by his visuals, which have changed 180 degrees from the romance genre. Director Kang said, `I've never thought I've gained weight while watching Yang Se-jong. Actually, I just found out for the first time that there was such a reaction (laughs). I didn't think it was bad for Yang Se-jong to be big. I wondered if the appearance of an actor studying a character was that important. Until now, I have never directly ordered an actor to match my appearance while working on a work. Everything is left to the actor who plays the character. Rather, I tend to modify the script according to the appearance or style so that the actor can act well. I don't think the script I wrote is the correct answer. If it's easier for an actor to act, it's nothing to modify the screenplay."

In the meantime, "Until now, the lines have been modified to match the characters worn by the actors. Jungpal of 'Casino's image was completely different from what I originally thought, but the story changed when Lee Dong-hwi took charge of it"I didn't try to force myself to wear clothes that didn't fit the actor," he stressed.
